Move the Mission

Move the Mission is the fundraising ministry of the Youth Ministries of the United Pentecostal Church International. Since its inception in 1953, over $158 million has been raised to fund missions and ministries around the world.

HOW DOES MOVE THE MISSION

BENEFIT MY LOCAL CHURCH?

FORTY PERCENT OF THE EARNED MTM OFFERING IS RETAINED IN THE LOCAL DISTRICT; MEANING NORTH TEXAS YOUTH MINISTRIES KEEPS THIS AMOUNT TO ASSIST THE FUNDING OF VARIOUS PROJECTS FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. WE USE THIS TO SUBSIDIZE NTY CAMP, YOUTH CONVENTION, AND OTHER EVENTS AND RALLIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. IN ADDITION TO THESE LOCAL EVENTS, NTY ACTIVELY SUPPORTS AND PARTICIPATES IN THE FOLLOWING MINISTRIES OF UPCI YOUTH MINISTRIES, WHICH ARE FUNDED BY MTM.

Apostolic Youth Corps

AYC will facilitate the pairing of North American, ministry-minded, Pentecostal youth with global destinations that need and desire evangelism assistance. AYC candidates will assist Global Missionaries, North American Missionaries, and work in cooperation with Global Campus Ministry, Campus Ministry International, Compassion Services International, and Metro Evangelism.

Campus Ministry International

CMI was formed to enable and encourage local churches to effectively reach out to the college and university populations in their vicinities with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is done by a variety of means—including motivating districts and churches to establish and maintain campus evangelism; providing materials and training to aid in the formation of these campus ministries; acting as a clearinghouse for the gathering and distribution of new information, ideas, and materials; and establishing communication and cooperation between campus ministries in our fellowship.

Hyphen Young Adult Ministry

Hyphen is the young adult ministry of the UPCI Youth Ministries. The target demographic for this ministry are young adults, ages 18-30, who are graduated from high school and single. Hyphen exists to connect young adults to service…with purpose…through resources…for a mission!

INSIDEOUT Webzine

Pentecostal teens can read about culturally relevant issues from a biblical perspective in this webzine produced exclusively by the UPCI Youth Ministries. INSIDEOUT features theme-based articles, book and music reviews, interviews, devotions, student ministry profiles, and much more! Visit the website, http://www.insideoutmag.org

North American Youth Congress

NAYC is the premier youth conference of the United Pentecostal Church International. As many as 34,000 young people attend this meeting and are exposed to inspirational preaching, teaching, singing, and great fellowship! NAYC takes place biannually in a city in North America and is anticipated with much excitement by young people and youth workers of the UPCI.

Project 7

Project 7 (P7) is a free resource for students to start Bible Clubs at their High School and Middle School campuses. P7 Clubs are student led and driven and are an opportunity for students to participate in a spiritually inspired, relationship driven, community serving project in their school. If you are interested in starting or joining a P7 club make the pledge to be a P7 Missionary! Find out more on our website!

Bible Quizzing

UPCI Youth Ministries is proud to sponsor two levels of quizzing—the Intermediate Division is open to 12 to 14-year-olds, and the Experienced Division involves 15 to 18-year-olds.

HOW CAN WE BEGIN FUNDRAISING

IN OUR LOCAL CHURCH?

EVERY CHURCH HAS IT'S OWN CULTURE AND YOU WILL KNOW WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOUR CONGREGATION; BUT UPCI YOUTH MINISTRIES HAS CREATED TRIED AND TRUE FUNDRAISING METHODS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO YOU FOR FREE!

IN NORTH TEXAS WE HAVE SEEN GREAT SUCCESS WHEN PASTORS AND YOUTH LEADERS ENCOURAGE THEIR STUDENTS TO BECOME REAL MCCOYS. THE REAL MCCOY PROGRAM IS AN EXCELLENT WAY TO HAVE YOUR STUDENTS CONNECT WITH THE MISSION ON A PERSONAL LEVEL. IT ALSO RELIEVES THE BURDEN OF LARGE FUNDRAISERS FROM THE LOCAL CHURCH.

FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE REAL MCCOY PROGRAM OR OTHER FUNDRAISERS LISTED BELOW CONTACT A MEMBER OF OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM: ANDREW LUCAS (ALUCAS@NTXYOUTH.COM), CHASE FLOWERS (CFLOWERS@NTXYOUTH.COM) OR CAMERON HOLLEY (CLHOLLEY@NTXYOUTH.COM).

Move-A-Thon

A well-recognized mantra for Move the Mission has been that it “moves the gospel.” Since 1952, UPCI Youth Ministries has helped men and women share the gospel all around the world by hosting fundraisers to facilitate evangelism. We are proud to once again offer a way to get involved in fundraising for Move the Mission through Move-A-Thon efforts.

NTY can provide you with a MTM Move-A-Thon Brochure (PDF), MTM Move-A-Thon Sponsor Form (PDF), and MTM Move-A-Thon Sample Letters (DOCX & PDF) for you to easily conduct this fundraiser with your church!

Challenge 31 (C31)

C31 is an opportunity for students to raise between $341-$961 for Move the Mission by finding sponsors who will give $11, $21, or $31. Participants could choose to set a goal of 1 sponsor a day for a month (31 days in August).

NTY can provide you with a C31 branded Leader's Guide, Participants Guide, and Sponsor Form in PDF format for you to easily conduct this fundraiser with your church!

Real McCoy Contest

Many young people have discovered their passion for God’s Kingdom by getting personally involved in life-giving MTM fundraising via The Real McCoy Contest. The students in your church can be involved in this exciting contest as we challenge our Apostolic youth to live sacrificially and become a generation of givers. Contestants can use funds raised during C31, Move-a-Thons, or other fundraisers to reach this goal.

Winners from each district across North America will be flown in to the UPCI World Headquarters in St. Louis, MO, for an exclusive weekend with the executives of the UPCI Youth Ministries. Contestants will be judged on: money raised [a minimum of $1,000], district involvement [i.e., attendance at sectional rallies, youth conventions and youth camp], church involvement, effort and creativity.

Age Limit: 12-25 (single, never married)

IN ADDITION TO YOUTH RELATED MINISTRIES MTM

ALSO SUPPORTS THESE ALLOCATION PARTNERS

Global Missions

Without reliable transportation, many of our missionaries would not be able to spread the Gospel into areas that have rough terrain or are far from their homes. Over $29 million dollars has been given to the Global Missions Division to purchase vehicles for missionaries.

North American Missions

One of the biggest challenges for a North American missionary is purchasing or renovating property in order to have adequate facilities for church services. MTM provides grants of up to $25,000 to assist North American missionaries in purchasing property or remodeling an existing building.

Tupelo Children’s Mansion

The dissolution of the traditional family has resulted in the shattering of many young lives. With many young people subject to the problems that a broken home produces, the Mansion provides a place of solace for those who have been abandoned and abused.

Lighthouse Ranch for Boys

The purpose of Lighthouse Ranch is to heal the broken lives of young men. This healing is accomplished through therapeutic guidance methods and by the Word of God. Through the spirit of love and caring, Lighthouse Ranch has helped steer troubled boys toward living responsible and mature lives.

New Beginnings

New Beginnings is a non-profit Adoption and Family service that provides an abortion alternative for birth mothers and offers adoption opportunities for those who seek parenthood. UPCI Youth Ministries is thrilled to have New Beginnings as one of our MTM allocation partners.

Office of Education & Endorsement

Many students feel a calling into ministry and a desire to prepare for ministry by attending Bible/Christian college. Many of these same students face challenges in raising finances for their tuition. Fortunately, MTM has given over $1 million to provide scholarships to qualified young people seeking to be trained for service in the kingdom of God.
